GoPro has just introduced a new cam action, Hero6 Black, a year after they announced the Hero5 Black. Compared to its predecessor, its form is almost unchanged, with a body that is water resistant to a depth of 10 meters without casing, and compatibility with a variety of existing accessories and Karma drones.

But don't be fooled by the resemblance, because the Hero6 Black brings quite a dramatic increase in performance. It is capable of recording 4K resolution videos at 60 fps, or 1080p 240 fps for slow-mo. Until now, there are still not many cameras or smartphones capable of recording 4K 60 fps.

The secret lies in a new processor called GP1, which is the result of the GoPro design itself. Before this, GoPro always relied on processors made by Ambarella. However, lately there have been many other manufacturers of cam actions that also use chips made by Ambarella, so GoPro decided to do something different which in the end could provide its own uniqueness.

According to GoPro, the presence of the GP1 chip allows the Hero6 Black to produce a better dynamic range and low-light performance. GoPro doesn't forget to say that the Hero6 Black has the best stabilization system of all lines of an action cam, and of course, the RAW and HDR shooting modes are also available.

Other updates include 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity so that the process of transferring videos and photos can be tripled. Like its predecessor, the Hero6 Black can be operated using voice commands, or through the 2-inch touch screen on the back.

The Hero6 Black GoPro is currently marketed for $ 500, $ 100 more expensive than the previous generation.

GoPro Fusion

If last year Black Hero5 came with his little brother, this year the Hero6 Black was accompanied by a 360-degree camera. Named Fusion, this camera was first announced by GoPro in April, and now it's finally ready to greet consumers widely.

Fusion's advantages are of course located on a pair of sensors and lenses that allow it to take spherical video with a resolution of 5.2K 30 fps or 3K 60 fps, as well as 18-megapixel spherical photos. Not just a 360-degree video or photo, Fusion will apparently also record 360-degree audio.

Fusion also offers a unique feature called OverCapture, which actually allows users to extract standard videos from recorded 360-degree videos. With this feature, users really don't need to be confused about framing, because they just need to start recording, then the framing can be arranged later through the GoPro companion application.

The Fusion body is also designed to be waterproof, even if it is only 5 meters deep. It is compatible with most GoPro mounts, and users can also operate it with voice commands like Hero6 Black.

The GoPro Fusion pre-order has now been opened, with a tag of $ 700. Consumers are expected to receive orders starting in November, while the new OverCapture feature will be available early next year.
