Since 2016, GoPro has routinely released new cam actions in September. In 2016, the GoPro Hero 5 Black came with a new design. 2017, the GoPro Hero 6 Black comes as the first camera to pack GoPro-made processors themselves. This year, GoPro prepared three new cam actions at once: Hero 7 Black, Hero 7 Silver and Hero 7 White.

As always, Hero 7 Black is the main star aka the flagship model. The design style introduced by Hero 5 is still maintained, as is the body that is water resistant to a depth of 10 meters without the help of the casing. Once again the change is quite significant is the innards.

The GP1 processor is again the main threat, but GoPro has further modified it to be able to bring new capabilities to the Hero 7 Black. Primarily is a super-effective internal stabilization system dubbed HyperSmooth?

Exclusive to Hero 7 Black, HyperSmooth is able to compensate for the shock so well that the video results look like it was recorded with the help of dreadlocks, and this system can still work even though the camera is being carried diving. Hero 7 Black is also the first GoPro cam action that is equipped with a live streaming feature. Videos that are being recorded can be directly broadcast to various platforms such as Facebook, YouTube or Twitch. Also new is a feature called TimeWarp, which will produce a time-lapse video with effects that are very similar to the Hyperlapse feature on Instagram.

The rest, the Hero 7 Black specifications are still the same as the Hero 6 Black. The maximum video resolution that can be recorded 4K 60 fps, plus 1080p 240 fps if you want to take slow-motion video. Photos can be captured in 12-megapixel resolution, and the Hero 7 Black is also equipped with smartphone-style HDR shooting features.

Switching to Hero 7 Silver and Hero 7 White, both are clearly marketed as a more affordable alternative. The design is almost identical (with different colors, of course), but the small LCD next to the Hero 7 Black lens is absent here. The protrusion of the lens is smaller than the Hero 7 Black.

As I said, the HyperSmooth feature is only available in Hero 7 Black, while Silver and White are only equipped with a standard internal stabilization system. Luckily, the 2-inch touch screen still exists on these two cameras, as well as the features of sweetening various controls via voice commands. Especially for Hero 7 White, it is the only one without GPS

About the specifications, Hero 7 Silver is capable of recording video in a maximum resolution of 4K 30 fps, while the picture resolution drops to 10 megapixels. If the Hero 7 Black is equipped with HDR, Hero 7 Silver is only WDR aka "wide dynamic range".

Hero 7 White, on the other hand, can only record video in 1080p 60 fps resolution, and the image resolution is also only 10 megapixels but without HDR or WDR. Both Hero 7 Silver and White package embedded rechargeable batteries, while the Hero 7 Black can be removed from the battery.

The plan, a trio of new cam actions will be marketed starting September 27. The GoPro Hero 7 Black is valued at $ 399, Hero 7 Silver $ 299, and Hero 7 White $ 199. In this latest generation, the cube-shaped Session series no longer exists.
